Welcome to my bolg!
My name is Gina Harvey. I am a 22 years old only child who is in love with traveling, hanging out with friends, art, and family get togethers. I have a dog named Domino, a turtle named Turtle, and a shared dog with my boyfriend named Hercules. When I'm not in school I'm usually found in either Austin (my soon to be home) and Houston (my home sweet home). Like already mentioned, I am originally from Houston Texas, but for the past few years I have been a student at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. I am currently a senior seeking a degree as an EC-6 generalist educator. Before going into education I was seeking a career in nursing, but after working as a camp counselor at the YMCA of greater Houston, I found my true passion for working with children, specifically teaching. I've also worked as a sunday school teacher and mentor, which has also influenced my career choice. I will be graduating this coming May and then will hopefully be working in Austin ISD as an elementary school teacher. I hope to one day become a high school science teacher, but for now my role is to be the student. This blog was created for a university corse, but there some interesting things that I think some people could benefit from.
